Shower curtain

As I'm sure you all are aware, this is the city that never sleeps. Therefore, even our shower curtain needs to educate us.

The Burgs again...

Yes, we were in Central Park today. Yes, there were hundreds of people walking to cure Parkinson's Disease. And, yes, Erik thought all of them were too shifty to lend them our camera to take a picture.

Our subway stop

The Carroll St. stop on the F and G lines. Two things: Yes, someone drew a face on the globe on the right side. And yes, "Fast & Furious" made $136 million in its first three weeks of release. It's hard to believe, I know, someone must've brought a ladder along to draw the face.

"We don't have any pictures of you together."

It isn't much but until Erik overcomes his intense paranoia that people are going to run away with his camera, it's all any of you are going to get. (Karen extends her deepest apologies.)

Stockholm Syndrome: Part 1

Erik building the kitchen island courtesy of IKEA. Karen wants to make a Blood Island Feast Man joke but is pretty sure most of you won't get it.

Karen on new couch

She's finally found something that softens the loss of Big Red Couch.

Starbucks bagel

Will bagels in New York be as dry and flavorless? Oh wait, they won't be.

LAX

One can only hope the TSA agents at JFK will yell half as loud (we're pretty sure they will).

Goodbye, Ghetto Vons.

You never did get that remodel you were promised but we loved your stinky, shabby aisles nonetheless.

Goodbye, Cafe '50s.

We'll miss you even if you won't miss us and our coupons.

Goodbye, Taco Plus.

Karen bids the Burrito Gigante farewell.

Goodbye, Demon Oven.

Karen celebrates the last time she will ever have to use the worst oven ever.

The Salvation Army feels conflicted.

On the one hand, we're giving them a lot of cool free stuff. On the other hand, they keep having to carry all this crap out. (This is pick-up #3.)

Karen with Soda

...and, ahem, boxes.

Boxes

This is Karen's office and the second bedroom closet all packed up. Oh yeah...and our books (those aren't heavy).

More boxes!

Living room, Karen's kitchen, our TV, some other stuff and the best light fixture in the world. Sincerely.

Packing up

Do we need all this crap?

(Fire) Escape from New York

The fire escape of our new Brooklyn home. (Fortunately we're garden level and won't need to use it . . .)
